#TBT My Baby Shower Gray & Aqua Chevron and Elephants

In honor of #TBT i though I would share some pictures from my amazing baby shower back on january. I had no specific theme in mind, I just knew that i wanted it to be in a restaurant that way neither of my parents would have to worry about the mess or about cooking (Honestly best decision made!!). The colors and decorations were all gray and Aqua and I used an elephant image to tie it all together. The venue was la carreta restaurant
As the guest walked in this is the first they would see, and i attached grey, blue and clear polka dot gallons to the frame stand (made by my amazing father)
The cake was vanilla and chocolate with vanilla custard filling, just delish. The Vicky Bakkery at Hialeah Gardens was the one that made it, and i was very pleased with the result, especially since it was only 125 dollars!! The elephant cake topper I purchased at etsy and the little flags at oriental trading.

I asked the restaurant to set up two long family style tables that way friends and family could talk, I did not want anyone to feel bored.
Frames made by my father, again have i mentioned how crafty and amazing he is. For the favors I did a "yemita" a cuban sweet in the small gray box and on the bigger box  a mini candle from bath and body works I used the flannel and lavender vanilla scents.
This was the favor/signing table/game hub.
The guestbook, using chalk ink, safe for the kiddos and i had some wet wipes ready to go.
The banner with both baby shower and oliver's name i made it with some scraps of fabric i had left over from one of his nursery projects.

My dress was from NY&Co from the Eva Mendez collection and I got it for a steal!!

We had an amazing time and were blessed with the company of great friends and family as well as with many gifts with little Oliver!

Making Lemonade out of Bucketfulls of Lemons

Well this pas weekend I was supposed to have flown to Texas to visit my sister, but I dinnt make it. I should have seen it coming...first I went to sleep pretty late, then I had the alarm on my husbands nightstand ( big mistake, as he likes to snooze). Short Story we missed our flight, the next flight available left the next day (we didnt want to flight to just spend one day over there) so we decided to go up to Orlando and Tampa to spend the weekend away from home. Taking in to consideration that it was a last minute plan, it was a pleasant getaway. In Tampa we went to Ybor City and spent the afternoon at the historic downtown, then we went to this awesome brewery called Cigar City Brewery. We were going to stay and go the next day to Bush Gardens but changed our mind, and went to Islands of Adventure (Orlando) I had been dying to see the Harry Potter portion of the park- was not disapointed. This coming weekend is my 24 bday I think it's going to be a good one, pretty excited ab

San Francisco at Last

I know, I know, I am super late with this post, but I have been swamped with my summer to do list. I never have time to actually get things done around the house, so since this summer was a mini term for me (YAY) I was able to put a dent in some of my to do list. I will definetly put some post regarding all the accomplisments later on. Also I have been super busy enjoying my time off of school, so I have been having fun with the family and friends. Now that I am done with all that explaining (lol) I shall proceed with the San francisco trip, We left on a thursday morning and got there early afternoon, we stayed at Inn on Broadway and although the place did look a bit sketchy the location was terrific, since it was right on Van Ness which made getting around very convinnient. When we arrived we went to the hotel drop off the bags, and then headed to Fisherman Wharf, which was so much fun, I loved the seals on the Pier, and of course enjoyed some shopping. The next day we took a bus to

Oliver 5 months later

Well Oliver has definitely grown in a blink of an eye, at least that is the way that it seems to me. I was printing his monthly pictures to put up in his room and I realized I have not posted pictures of him up until now. I still have to pinch myself, because these mommy journey feels like a dream. I found out I was pregnant in August after trying for almost a year. You would think that it meant I was ready, but no finding out I was indeed pregnant was the best most exciting/terrifying news ever. It meant that for the first time in my life someone else was sharing my daily habits; eating, exercising (lol, like I do anything) and just simply living. I became a healthier version of myself for the next 9 months but I wondered what he would be like once he was born. My husband and I have many things in common but I feel we have many differences, while he is extremely active I am not, while he prefers beers and chips I rather Nutella my way to next week.  I wondered would this little bea
